it was £14 5 hours ago
isnt it funny how he claims to have sold at the top
Yeah you are right, whose heard of selling at the top? Almost as ridiculous as buying on a low. BWAHAHA
here we go 12% up . should reach £20 by end of week
here we go 30% up on vaccine news
Wow, Carnival +4% despite lockdown and worsening Covid, Is anyone else surprised by this ?
Shares of cruise operators surged Friday, to buck the sharp selloff in the broader market, after the Centers for Disease Control and Preven intion (CDC) chose not to extend its full no-sail order, and has instead gone with a "phased approach" to resuming cruise operations. The CDC's no-sail order expires on Oct. 31. Shares of Carnival Corp. ran up 6.4%, Royal Caribbean Group jumped 4.8% and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. climbed 5.5%, at a time when the S&P 500 sank 2.2%. After the no-sail order expires, the initial phases of the resumption of cruise ship operations will consist of testing and additional safeguards for crew members. The next phases will include simulated cruises to test the operators' ability to limit COVID-19 risk.
Thanks Virginija, still seems too optimistic considering over 60’s are the most frequent cruise demographic and also the most at risk Covid age group; and closed up countries would force more of “at-sea” activity than “at-port” travel options
Will we see another drop due to second lockdown? Mid-high 700's possibly?
there is value sub 675.00
how low this time ? below 700p ?
i should've waited 🤦‍♂️
Will , you have an entry price and an exit price, if you stick to that you should be OK, its never a bad time to take profit. But you just have to hold your nerve when stocks drop. This stock is like a yo-yo, £3 spread.
This will probably test the lows again.
are you short on it?860-890 has been a tidy entry a few times....
bought more today at 859
Hey William Bravery, price heading down towards 900p again
getting close to a good entry point
875 is way too high.
it's been my entrance point 3 times now and I'm barely ever down
Hey William Bravery, price heading down towards 900p again
another dip after earnings report today?
You’d have thought so but I don’t think they’ll come as a shock to anyone...

That’ll be a yes then 😂
Will ,what about under £9.50
I'm waiting till Monday to see how low it gets before buying more
Second wave do you think people will be allowed to go on cruises unless they get tested and stay isolated until boarding. This is dead in the water now until April next year. Cost cost cost and more cost. Wouldn't be surprised to see £7 by end of December
buy again at below £10?
i bought at 631p back in March, so you never know how low it can go
there you go
Wait until its below 7
Hold it! it is way undervalued.
Haha
with 1 boat in the water and nearly 3bn loss last Qtr... even if it doesn't go bust it will need so much more financing that you'd be watered down so far. Might as well be the Titanic 😂
anyone know why is suddenly rising?
Italian operations starting up in September is probably the catalyst. Depending how that goes may unlock some others.
I bought it at 1200p should I hold it or sell it
hold, definitely. keep for at least a year
Everyone remembers carnival as a good company and it was. but now it’s in trouble it’s a value trap. And few can predict how long the value trap will last. Debt can be the biggest issue, with second wave around the corner, id sell and buy something suitable for covid times. E.g. gold , silver, crypto, bio, health, tech, cloud...just ideas, dont stay locked in and hoping things dont get worse
abandon ship. Q3 expect Impairment charges of $650M, and removing 2 ships from fleet. They are shrinking!
Why is this out of sync with CCL in America? its off by about 20%!!!
Typo ....”same”
I thlught it was, 2-3% would be ok, but 20% off is crazy. Maybe a good indicator of the lack of investment in FTSE.
Correction, its out of sync by 58%!!!
up or down when US Markets open ??
yes I noticed that.
I am not well at the moment and in neurosurgery hospital and coronavirus tests are quick and easy so why not try it will cost a fraction of doing nothing
get well soon!
as a investor just a couple of suggestions 1 is it not possible to get recipe of vacane from oxford group and produce the product 2 test all passengers using own lab and use distancing at least ask who if this will be acceptable
Just make sure you are fully aware of what you buying into guys. the now have a mountain of debt to get through covid plus they are unlikely to get state aid as cruise companies are rarely registered in the US to avoid tax so aren't a high priority to rescue. you are not necessarily buying the same Carnival as pre-covid. Just be aware
got to be worth at least 50% of what they were at peak within 2 years that's 100% profit of where they are today .
well hardened cruisers will never stop cruising. Hold on to this thought.
