Elon Musk has been appointed to Twitter (NYSE:TWTR)'s board of directors. It was announced by current CEO Parag Agrawal. This comes just one day after revealing his NOT so passive 9.2% stake in the social media company.

BRAINARD SHOCKS MARKETS

Well known dove (a central banker that typically prefers lower interest rate policy) and Fed Governor Lael Brainard has said she expects methodical interest rate increases and rapid reductions to the Fed's balance sheet to bring U.S. monetary policy to a "more neutral position" later this year, with further tightening to follow as needed. The reaction = USD strength, yields up and stocks down. The day's biggest move.

UK CRYPTO TECH HUB

The govt has announced moves that will see stable coins recognised as a valid form of payment as part of wider plans to make Britain a global hub for crypto asset technology and investment. This includes working with the Royal Mint on an NFT this summer

J.P. MORGAN CEO COMMENTS

J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon has just released the bank's latest annual letter to shareholders. In the letter he says the bank is expecting drastically higher rates and lots of market volatility. A must-read for any student or investor.
