Monday: Markets will price in the results of the first round of the French elections. The IFO Survey will see light in Germany.

Tuesday: March New Home Sales data will see light in the U.S. The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index for April will also see light in the U.S., as well as April’s Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index.

Wednesday: February’s All Industry Activity Index will see light in Japan. April Consumer Confidence Index data will be released in France. The weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light in the U.S. Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) will announce the first quarter’s earnings.

Thursday: Preliminary April Consumer Price Index data will be released in Spain, with analysts expecting an increase of inflation to 2.5%. April Manufacturing Confidence Index data will be released in Italy. The final estimate of April’s Consumer Confidence Index data will see light for the Eurozone.

The ECB, additionally, is scheduled to announce interest rates and its Asset Purchase target; the latter expected to see a decline to EUR 60 bln. In Germany, preliminary April Consumer Price Index data will see light. Preliminary March Wholesale Inventories data will also see light in the U.S., as well as March Durable Goods Orders data and the weekly Initial Jobless Claims. Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) will release quarterly earnings reports.

Friday: The Jobless Rate figure is scheduled to be released in Japan. Consumer Price Index data will also be released as well as preliminary Industrial Production Index data. Advance Q1 GDP data will be released in France, as well as the preliminary estimate of April’s Consumer Price Index data. Advance GDP figures will also see light for the UK, Canada and the US. April’s Chicago Purchasing Managers’ Index will also see light in the US.
