Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 2.16% or 34 points to trade at 1607 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 1.96% or 1220 points to end at 63350 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) was up 1.85% or 690 points to 37910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leumi (TA:LUMI), which lost 2.06% or 29 points to trade at 1381 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 1.57% or 560 points to end at 35030 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 1.37% or 1120 points to 80600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 179 to 153 and 106 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.02% or 0.44 to $42.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.8434, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.2246.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
