Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.63% or 20.0 points to trade at 1250.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.50% or 140.0 points to end at 9500.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 1.16% or 0.2 points to 17.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 5.38% or 660.0 points to trade at 11600.0 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 3.39% or 65.0 points to end at 1850.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 1.71% or 170.0 points to 9760.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.93% or 2.95 to $150.23 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.46% or 97.50 to hit $2722.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1324.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.62% to 2894.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.73% to 889.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 95.44.
