Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.62% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 1.14% or 660.0 points to trade at 58800.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 0.54% or 100.0 points to end at 18700.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 0.23% or 5.0 points to 2220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.75% or 280.0 points to trade at 9920.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.52% or 0.3 points to end at 19.5 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 1.46% or 20.0 points to 1350.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.05% or 1.50 to $141.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.74% or 23.00 to hit $3110.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.46% or 6.35 to trade at $1360.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.42% to 2988.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.34% to 888.78.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 96.31.
