Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.73% or 380.0 points to trade at 10560.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 2.90% or 680.0 points to end at 24140.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.78% or 700.0 points to 25900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 1.65% or 640.0 points to trade at 38200.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 0.90% or 35.0 points to end at 3840.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 0.72% or 80.0 points to 11000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 5.29% or 6.98 to $138.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.58% or 18.00 to hit $3113.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 1.42% or 17.65 to trade at $1264.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.75% to 2861.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.62% to 849.29.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 93.61.
