Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.33% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 2.00% or 280.0 points to trade at 14280.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 1.97% or 260.0 points to end at 13480.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.34% or 260.0 points to 19680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which lost 1.21% or 15.0 points to trade at 1225.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.12% or 110.0 points to end at 9740.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.92% or 560.0 points to 60000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.62% or 0.90 to $145.80 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.47% or 43.00 to hit $2887.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.04% or 13.85 to trade at $1313.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.62% to 2920.82, while BRL/COP rose 0.40% to 902.07.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 96.05.
